MRA Educational Foundation
The MRA Educational Foundation (MRAEF) was created to address the diverse educational needs of the industry. Its focus is two fold: First, to provide professional development programs for members. Second, to develop a well-educated, well-trained workforce through School-to-Career partnerships throughout the state. The MRAEF is governed by a board of elected directors. Department of Education, regional School-to-Career Partnership and high schools statewide. The two-year program introduces students to concepts not found in more traditional programs topics such as customer relations, accounting, food cost controls, and marketing. Students are also encouraged to explore the wide variety of careers found in the restaurant and foodservice industry through their internships.
